Detroit has a winning football team, yet most people don't even know the team exists. The Detroit Demolition is a winning women’s football team that is part of the Independent Women’s Football League (IWFL.) The Detroit Demolition is a four time national championship team and now they are gearing up for win number five in the 2007 season.
The first game of the 2007 football season was Saturday April 28th at 7 PM vs. the Detroit Predators and they won by a shocking 83-0.
The Detroit Demolition is a team made up of women with various backgrounds and physical abilities. They are athletes, homemakers and college graduates. They play full-contact football and they do it well. They are passionate about football and they are determined to win.
The Detroit Demolition recently gained new ownership under R & R Sports Entertainment, LLC and are coached by Tony Blankenship. They team has a full staff of people dedicated to the success of the team and promoting awareness of women’s football.

If you are a female over 18 with an athletic background and an interest in football, you are encouraged to try out for the team. Coach Blankenship is more interested in finding women with an athletic background and a positive attitude than those who already know how to play football. Football can be taught if the passion is there.
Families are encouraged to attend the games as there will be fun for the whole family at the football games, including half-time bands and face painting.
