Here are America's top 25 high school football teams as ranked by five national prep polls. Twenty-two teams are still unbeaten.

America’s top high school football teams kept on winning in the last week of October, solidifying their positions in the national composite ratings. The top 25 includes 22 unbeaten teams.

Northwestern of Miami, FL rolled to its eighth straight victory of the year to strengthen its hold on first place going into November. The Bulls finished atop four of the five October 30 national high school polls and were second in the fifth poll.

Top 25 polls are conducted by USA Today, the ESPN sports television network, Sports Illustrated, Rise Magazine and the website Prep Nation. When teams are awarded 25 points for first place, 24 for second, etc., in each of the five polls, Northwestern scores 124 of a possible 125 points in the composite rankings.

St. Xavier Remains Second with 10 straight Victories

St. Xavier of Cincinnati rolled to its 10th straight victory and remained in second place with 117 composite points. It finished first in one poll.

Katy High and Carroll of Southlake, both of Texas, held on to third and fourth places in the composite rankings, with 107 and 104 points respectively. Katy is 8-0 for the season and Carroll is 7-1. Carroll has lost only to Northwestern.

All other teams in the top 25 were unbeaten except DeMatha and Jenks. Each had one loss.

Florida, Ohio Lead States in Composite Points

Florida continued to top all states in the composite rankings with four teams accumulating 286 points. Ohio was next with three teams and 266 points, followed by Texas with two teams and 211 points, and California with three teams and 203 points.

Other teams scoring points in the latest composite rankings were Independence of Charlotte, NC, 11; Texarkana, AK and Muskegan, Michigan, 10 each; Byrnes of Duncan, SC and Westfield Chantilly of VA, 9 each; St. Xavier of Louisville, KY, West Monroe, LA and Salem of Virginia Beach, VA, 7 each; Birmingham of Van Nuys, CA, 6; and North Allegheny of Wexford, PA 5.
